Ten people have died and 500 hospitalised after drinking expired flavoured drinks in Kano state.
Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, who is the state Commissioner for Health, disclosed this in a video made available to journalists on Thursday.
He said 50 people among those hospitalised were undergoing kidney- related treatment, arising from complications from consumption of the drinks.
The commissioner said the affected persons are being treated at government hospitals.
He cautioned residents on kinds of juice they consume in this time of Ramadan, to avoid catastrophic consequences.
