The kidnapped Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Party, APC, Philip Shekwo, has been killed by his abductors.
Nasarawa State secretary of the party, Aliyu Bello, confirmed the report to newsmen on Sunday.
Multiple Sources said the APC Chairman was gunned down by the kidnappers during a gun duel with security operatives in an effort to rescue him.
It was also gathered that the remains of the party chairman is presently lying in his house along Jos road behind Taal model school.
Mr Shekwo was kidnapped Saturday night in his after one hour gun battle.
The state Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, who confirmed the incidence said he was abducted in his house around 11 pm.
“Unidentified gunmen in large number stormed the resident of the APC Chairman in Lafia around 11 O’clock in the evening, last night and took him away to an unknown destination,” Mr Longe had said.
