Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has recovered from COVID-19.
The governor confirmed this in a weekly press briefing Monday.
He said doctors confirmed his negative status after running the test twice.
The governor is gunning for a second term and is set to get the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
There have been controversy since he tested positive and went into isolation refusing to hand over to his deputy, Agboola Ajayi who recently dumped the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
